Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is next week October 28th – October 31st. Tens of thousands of schools and organizations across the United States focus on educating young people about the dangers of drugs. Red Ribbon Week promotes positive choices, good character and healthy lifestyles for students of every age. Red Ribbon Week helps students become aware that their future is brighter if they stay drug-free.
All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to get involved and show your support to live drug free.
Each day will have a theme:
Monday – “Be ‘Red-dy’ to Say No to Drugs!” – Wear red clothing to show your support for a drug free CDMS.
Tuesday – ‘Don’t get tyed up with drugs!’ - Wear a tie or tie-dye clothing.
Wednesday - ‘Team up against drugs!’ - Wear your favorite team’s jersey, shirt or sweatshirt.
Thursday - ‘Buddy up against drugs!’ - Find a friend and dress like twins.
You will get a pledge slip (colored paper) if you participate each day. Pledge slips can then be turned into grade level boxes near the cafeteria for the chance to win daily prizes and a grand prize at the end of Red Ribbon week.
